Roadrunners Microwave Group Survey

DEFINING RMG - General demographics and opinions.

What can RMG do to help YOU increase your VHF+ activity level & participation in RMG activities?

The Roadrunners Microwave Group has embarked on its sixth year. In general, the mission "to promote activity on the amateur bands above 420MHz" has seen success in South central Texas. The RMG "bands of emphasis" program has helped several folks get on said bands. Additionally, RMG has a decent propagation beacon system in operation at various locations around south Texas, some of us also using the beacons to check the "health" of our stations from time-to-time.

While RMG has achieved in some areas, with a bit o' soul searching it becomes clear that there are other things RMG could be doing to support its members. The phrase "to promote activity" surely contains the embedded goal to facilitate and support involvement in as many aspects of VHF+ hamming as possible. RMG needs to look at expanding existing programs in some areas, and adding new programs and emphases as they are identified and as resources are identified to support same. The question involves aspects of how much can one do when faced with the day-to-day requirements of family, employment and the rest of "real life"? This survey, hopefully, will provide some insight to this.

This four-page survey is an attempt to identify where existing programs should be expanded, what new programs should be added, and what resources exist within the RMG membership to support all of the above. Please take it seriously. Failure to complete and submit will only hurt RMG's chances of supporting its membership in the best possible manner.

Each page of the survey is presented on a separate web page. This is due to the variations between browsers, even "same manufacturer" browsers of different version. It assures that each page will print as a single page in its entirety. Please use your browser "print" function to print out each page, then "answer, circle or highlite (as appropriate) your response" to each question or request for information. "Answer, circle or highlite" as many options as apply, e.g. Q8a and Q15b, etc.

Links to the next and previous pages are at the bottom of each survey page. Note that "POC" mean "Point of Contact" and if you need more room to finish answering any of the "essay questions" there is room on the back of the form. Please make sure you note what question you are addressing if you use the back of the form, e.g. "Q9c" (or whatever). Please click HERE to go to the first page of the survey.

Upon completion, please bring this survey to the next RMG meeting, or snail-mail the survey form to:
