This worksheet calculates the focal length "f" of a prime focus parabolic reflector (dish) based on the diameter "D" and the depth "d" of said reflector. See the figure at right. Enter the units in which each measurement is available, followed by the diamter and depth, as indicated.

Along with focal length, the f/D of the dish is calculated.
