L-MAD: Local Microwave Activity Day; 0800 - 1200
Meeting: We have been invited to hold the July meeting at the QTH of Dick K5AND just west of Austin:
Dick K5AND is inviting the North Texas and VHF South groups to join RMG on Sat, July 11 for those who are bored, need
a road trip, and/or have some stuff to sell or trade.
In conjunction with the Roadrunners' monthly meeting, at Dick's QTH, he suggested also having a flea market. So guys
are bringing tables etc. For those coming in from out of town, Kathie and Dick can accommodate a limited number of
folks at their house if they wanted to come spend Fri nite; if we fill up, there a couple of cheap local hotels.
1) for directions to Dick's house, use Google Maps
and simply put in "16400 Hamilton Pool Road, Austin, TX" - zoom out a bit to see exactly whjat route is best from your
location!
2) There are 5 parking areas once you reach 16400 Hamilton Pool Road, Austin, TX. See site plan
for details. The drawing illustrates all of this.
a) 3 spots right in front of house (#3).
b) circular drive in front of garage on left end of house (#4).
c) after making left turn at top of drive, the 1st tower on the left has major parking available; further down same
road is more major parking by the 2nd (tallest) tower (#5 & #6).
d) parking around back (around the right side of house (#1).
NOTE: Do not use area #2.
3) tables should be set up either on back porch (in the shade), or, under the pavilion (also in the shade)

5) I will be sending out notes to the NTMS as well as the local CTDXCC group.
6) The deal starts (officially) at 0900, but folks are welcome anytime from 0730 on.
7) Dick am furnishing water, soda and ice tea; everyone is supposed to tell me their sandwich order by the Thursday before.

CSVHFS Conference: This year's President Kermit W9XA has put together quite a show. All the "new" items
we inaugerated in 2007 in San Antonio will occur PLUS a couple of new wrinkles. He is planning a Sunday morning session
as well! Hotel is "only" $87 per night (+tax) and it's only minutes away from O'Hare airport. Go to the CSVHFS conference
